License requirements
The driver has to be in possession of a valid driving license for at least 2 years, with no major endorsements.
Young Driver Fee, for ages 18 to 24 years old
The minimum age to rent a car is 18 years old and the driver must hold a full license for minimum 2 year with no major infringement.For the drivers under 24 years old, a young driver fee of 50€ will be applied to the rental contract. An International Driver’s License (IDL) is required if the renter’s national driver’s license is not in Roman alphabet (i.e.,
Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese). International driver`s license must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver. UK license holders must present both the photo card and its paper counterpart at the time of rental.
Payment policy
Acceptable methods of payment are:- Credit cards
- Debit cards
- Cash
- American Express are not accepted for payment and for the excess fee.
FUEL POLICY:
Airauto’s fuel policy is “same to same”. Vehicles should be returned with the same level of fuel as it was when the vehicle was picked up. Fuel charges are payable at the rental desk.
If the client uses the wrong fuel to fill the tank, they will be charged for the FULL AMOUNT OF THE REPAIR COST.
Out of hours policy
Out of hours service is allowed at the Faro Airport, only, will be 50€ per service Out of hours for Pick-Up and Drop-Off is from 20pm until 8amMAIN OFFICE:

Our policy regarding cancelations is that they must be made by e-mail / by telephone. Your written cancellation request must be received within a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the start date of the rental.Accidents/ Roadside assistance
24/7 assistance is available
The road assistance green card contract is provided along with the car documents. In case of an accident or breakdown, the client must call/ report to the main office during opening hours and can contact the road assistance
number: +351 210 443 784 .
In case of accident its mandatory to call the authorities and always fill in the European Accident Statement (Friendly Declaration / D.A.A.A.) and present the Accident Police Report (with or without fault) which has a cost of 90€.
In case of accident, it is mandatory to call the police and require a police report with or without fault. If the driver involved in the accident was under the influence of alcohol and/ or narcotics, they will be required to pay the entire cost of any damages which occurred.
Driver’s negligence
Any damage to the vehicle done by driver’s negligence (burn clutch, damage due the driving on unsealed roads, parking the car on high sidewalk curbs, overspeeding, etc.) will be charged to the client for the FULL AMOUNT OF TH REPAIR COST. If the client losses or doesn’t have the documents upon car return, he / she will have to pay 100 euros to Airauto to obtain new documents.
PARKING AND SPEEDING FINES:
Parking and speeding fines plus an administration fee of 25€ will be charged to the client. Identify clients for traffic fines, will be charged 25 euros;
Conditions of the interior of the vehicle
If the client returns the car in an unacceptable state and the interior of the vehicle is unacceptably dirty and in need of extra cleaning or repair costs (cigarette burns on seating, etc.), the client will be charged for the cleaning and/ or repair cost.

The main driver is included and the charge for an additional driver is 40 EUR per rental.

Wi-Fi wireless is available for 40 EUR/ week or less.

Holding the car
Clients with a booking/ flight confirmed have to pick up their car within 4 hours. Otherwise it is considered a NO SHOW.

The SCDW doesn’t cover damage tyres and broken windows, forced locks and underneath part of the car. The client can purchase insurance for this coverage. It is called TWL
Personal accident insurance is not included.
The minimum rental period is 1 day.
The maximum rental period is 60 days.
CROSS BORDER POLICY: (G. Card Spain)
Cross border rentals are allowed to the following countries: SPAIN only.
We mostly supply cars at Faro Airport.
Delivery in the Algarve
Delivery in the Algarve is subject to an additional charge. The prices per service (each way) are the following:Roof racks are not available.
Use of the A22 motorway - Via do Infante
The use of the highway involves the payment of electronic tolls, the corresponding amount is charged from the customer's credit card, plus administrative fees of 1.90€ + VAT up to a maximum of 19.00€ per contract.
According to the Portuguese decree law Nr 190-2013.

IT IS ESSENTIAL THE CLIENT CHECK AND AGREE THE DAMAGES AS LISTED BEFORE LEAVING THE CAR PARK.
