What our car hire charges do Not Include? |
Vehicles are provided with a full, half or quarter tank. Drivers are expected to return the car with the same amount of fuel as hired. Fuel charges are payable at the rental desk.
If the customer uses the wrong fuel to fill the tank, he will be charged for the FULL AMOUNT OF THE REPAIR COST.

Can I have Wi-Fi in the car? |
Yes. Wi-Fi mobile devices can be provided directly at the Faro Airport office. The additional cost is 40€.

Can I add a second driver to the contract? |
Yes. When booking, you can request this extra option in the comments box. An additional charge of 40 euro/ rental will be required.

Yes. GPS satellite navigation is supplied for a daily charge of 6 EUR.

What is the standard insurance? |
The standard Airauto insurance includes: Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) accompanied by an excess fee that depends on the car type, Third Party liability (TP), Theft Waiver (TW) and also breakdown assistance.

How can I pay?
|
The accepted payment methods are credit card and cash. For payment in cash, apart from the car hire price, you must purchase the daily SCDW + TWL and leave a gas deposit of 100 EUR.

What is the fuel policy? |
Our policy is full/ full. The rental car will be picked up full and returned the same way. Please note that there are charges for missing fuel.

Can I drive the Airauto rental car outside Portugal? |
Yes, but only in Spain. When booking, you can select this option. Driving outside Spain and Portugal is not allowed.

Regarding the insurance in the car hire contract, can I remove the excess fee?

Yes. You can opt for the Super Collision Damage Waiver Insurance (SCDW) when you book.

How old must I be to hire a car from Airauto? |
The minimum age to rent a car is 18 years old and the driver must hold a full license for minimum 2 year with no major infringement.
For the drivers under 24 years old, a young driver fee of 50€ will be
applied to the rental contract. An International Driver’s License (IDL) is required if the renter’s national driver’s license is not in Roman alphabet (i.e., Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese). International driver's license must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver. UK license holders must present both the photo card and its paper counterpart at the time of rental.

Can I collect and return the car outside Faro Airport? |
No. Faro Airport is the only place you can collect and return your Airauto rental car.

What is the cost of an additional driver? |
The additional driver fee is 40 EUR per rental.

How do I collect my car if I arrive after 20:00(out of office hours) ? |
The meeting point is located at park P4, a member of Airauto will be present to welcome and assist you, even between 20:00 - 08:00 AM, if you have a confirmed booking.
Out of hours service is allowed at the Faro Airport only, and it costs 50€.

What is the price of the full insurance ? |
The price of the full insurance is :
21,00 Euro PER DAY FOR GROUPS A, B,
26,00 Euro PER DAY FOR GROUPS C, D, D1
40,00 Euro FOR GROUPS E, H, J, K and N, AND
55,00 Euro FOR THE F, G GROUPS.

What is covered by your excess insurance? |
The full excess insurance in case of accident covers everything, after you show us the police report.
If you take the full excess insurance, you will not loose the deposit for the car.
The insurance does not cover, in case of negligence of the driver, the loss of keys, damage wheels, windshields.
